At Least I have my Crystals

Updated: May 15, 2020

I retrieved all my bracelets from the wooden table that stood at the center of our house. I marked where that table stood years ago when I first attended a Feng Shui seminar. I measured the length and width of our house by counting the steps from one end to the other. It was not very scientific, so it's probable that this was not the exact center of the house, but I decided that I didn't need to be precise to know where I would place my crystals.

If I were religious, I would call this table as the altar. It was a sacred space for these multi-colored crystals that I have collected through the years since I met my good friends from Lightcatchers Crystals. The past week, I had only been wearing my protection crystals: Smoky Quartz, Tourmalinated Quartz, Iolite, Carnelian and Amethyst.

I decided to go through all my other crystals after reading the messages that I received from my friends. They indicated that there was going to be a full lock down. The new rules restricted movements of people. Markets would be closed. I also learned from these text messages that the government would start to ration food. The thought of queueing up for food clobbered whatever sense of security i held on to. If food were to be rationed, my money would not be what will put food on the table. We would only get food if we were to queue up for it.

For the past week, I had only been eating two meals a day. I did that mainly to keep myself from gaining weight. I was eating carbs and my body have not had this much of a regular carb feast since I learned the word Keto five years ago. I ate fewer meals than I used to so I could get to the end of this lock down hopefully five pounds lighter. Unconsciously though, I ate less because I was conserving our resources. I was being prudent not just with food, but also with money.

Going back to what I was doing with the crystals; I retrieved all of them and picked those that I would wear to supplement the protective energy of the crystals that I already wore.

I started with the peridot. It's gift was joy. With the continuous uncertainty, I knew that I needed a reminder to hold on to joy. I also picked the yellow sapphire and the golden danburite. These were crystals of prosperity. Through uncertainty, a steady stream of income was necessary.

Lastly, I wore the rutilated quartz. It was the crystal for abundance. I refrained from wearing this bracelet in the past because it had a side effect. It could encourage weight gain. I decided by slipping these crystals onto my left arm that if I were to gain weight, that meant that we had food on the table. So I was good with that.
